Jason Hill

Jason Hill is an American film composer, platinum-selling recording artist, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. He first gained widespread prominence as the lead vocalist, guitarist, and producer for the post-punk rock band Louis XIV, alongside projects like alt-country group Convoy and supergroup Vicky Cryer. Over his career, he has collaborated, produced, and recorded with iconic acts including David Bowie, The Killers, Jet, Macy Gray, and the New York Dolls.

Transitioning into film and television scoring, Hill became known for his evocative, atmospheric compositions. He frequently collaborates with director David Fincher, creating acclaimed scores for the Netflix psychological thriller Mindhunter, the film Gone Girl, and Love, Death & Robots. He operates the vintage studio Department of Recording and Power in Glendale, California.
